Supply Chain
- Description
-
The supply chain function is of strategic importance to companies. It is a major economic lever at the heart of the planning of the company’s resources, both in terms of customer service, optimization of cash flow and cost cutting.
The priority issues facing managers of company’s of any size include problems of governance and organization, the optimization of business processes and the alignment of the information systems accordingly.
The definition of the governance of the supply chain in the company (organization, responsibility for stocks or processes, internal service level agreements, etc.) in particular is an essential prerequisite for any improvements in performance. Our broad experience in a range of sectors has demonstrated the existence of supply chain models that are organized mainly according to the complexity of the supply (the industrial complexity) and the demand, and that the most efficient companies are those that succeed in defining a governance system that is coherent with these models.
The second essential step in the transformation of the supply chain function consists in defining target processes that are also coherent with the supply chain model. These processes must be supported by efficient information systems, even if this step does not necessarily involve the implementation of totally integrated information systems.
Beyond the definition of the target, we are convinced that any changes in a company can be justified by the case for change. We cooperate with operational management to identify any malfunctions and assess the performance levers at the start of the project.
Finally, bringing about change in organizations is at the heart of our business. This process presupposes a broad consensus on the diagnosis and the solutions and guides our action throughout the project, which is executed in close cooperation with our customers’ teams.
